Over the last two months, we had two situations where an undersized cutter was needed. The first job required cutting 5″ 19.5 lb/ft DP with a 2.75″ restriction. Downhole conditions: 3,400psi hydrostatic, 150 deg F, 9.3 ppg water-based mud. Our 2.5″ plasma cutter was used to cut the 5″ DP. The second job required cutting 4.5″ 11.6 lb/ft CSG with a 2.3″ restriction. Downhole conditions: 2,500psi hydrostatic, horizontal cut. Our 2″ plasma cutter was used to cut the 4.5″ CSG.
